For how long are you a photographer and videographer?
Sylvain Primeau began photography and videography in 1998 during his studies at the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQÀM). He has been hired as a student for the Chateauguay's community television during the summer of 1999. The same year, he has been the official photographer for a first wedding. Thereafter, he funded Les productions Primeau Médias in 2004.
Are you working alone?
It depends of the agreement. If you choose a package with multiple cameramen, Sylvain Primeau will hire other experienced cameramen that will follow him during the day.
If you choose a photo and a video package, he will be the photographer or the cameraman and will hire a second person to offer the other service. The editing is made by Sylvain Primeau.
Do you hire an assistant?
No, Sylvain does not use the services of an assistant photographer or cameraman for his productions at the moment, unless the event is requiring it.
Can we take an appointment with you?
Yes. You can contact Sylvain Primeau and take an appointment in order to talk about your objectives, the different packages and to eventually sign an agreement.
How much deposit do I need for a wedding agreement?
The deposit required is usually 10% or $100 at the agreement's signature. On the wedding day, you will have to pay around 60% and 30% on the delivery of the product.
How long before the delivery?
Many factors can influence the delivery time, like the period of the year, the complexity of the editing or the number of productions we have at that time of the year.
Usually, we will complete video projects within 6 months and photo projects within 3 months. During les busy periods, the delay should be shorter.
Do you charge sales taxes?
No, since the beginning of 2018, we don't charge sales taxes anymore.
What are the payment methods?

Do you have other occupations beside your business?
Yes, Sylvain Primeau also works as an editor-producer for CBC/Radio-Canada news channel. He is also giving training classes.
Which camera models are you using?
We use Panasonic video cameras (HMC 150, HVX 200A, HPX 170, AC 160A) and Canon's digital photo cameras (5D Mark III, 7D Mark II, etc.).
Do we have to provide a meal?
The Client will provide Primeau Medias crew members with food service during the guest meal service if they have to stay for the reception.
